My love affair with tartan, and his equally as admirable sibling plaid, began many years ago when at the tender age of 16 I bought my first tartan tie, a bond formed that day which lead to the plethora of tartan trousers, jackets & suits that now call my wardrobe home.
So of course I was elated to see the continuation of these wonderful fabrics in this autumn/winter's collections.
The pattern was for the most part wielded in two ways; either to make a masculine, rebellious statement or as the embodiment of aristocratic luxury; both we can agree are fantastically effective as can be seen in the pick of DandyFantastic favourites below.

Oh and what's this? Myself (sporting my lovely new Vintage Jaegar jacket) and friend H. A. Ashbrook of course!

Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteTartan does indeed reign for 2011/12! We are loving seeing the return of heritage fabrics and wearing something that has a bit of a story behind it. Create something unique......
